3D mobiles market – A new attraction for cell phone manufacturers

Research and Development have become so much advanced these days that every cell phones manufacturer wants to come up with something extra ordinary for its customers. We have seen companies like Apple, Nokia, RIM, HTC and others entering different markets like touch screen, Smartphone and business phone. Now it is the time for them to make way in the 3D mobile phones market.

People all around the world love to watch 3D movies and they really want to get their hands on 3D Television as well. This clearly shows how much craze people have for viewing 3D images and videos. Therefore it would not be incorrect if we say that 3D mobile phones will do well in the market. Two of the famous mobile phone manufacturers LG and HTC have already announced that their first 3D phone will soon come in the market with the names LG Optimus 3D and HTC EVO 3D.

Nokia has also decided to enter in the 3D cell phones market. In 2009 it patented "Auto-stereoscopic" technology which according to some details uses dual screen to provide a 3D image detecting the user’s eye level through a camera. It is expected to announce its 3D phone somewhere in the 4th Quarter of this year. Other cell phone manufacturers like Motorola, Samsung and Apple are also trying to come up with 3D phones and their R&D is active as well.

Not only cell phone manufacturers but companies like Microsoft also view this sector as important. That is why Microsoft recently introduced an application for computers and mobile phones in which a series of pictures of a single object taken from different angles can be combines through the application to form a single 3D image.

This all looks like there will be a healthy competition in the 3D mobile phones market and soon there will be a great number of them available all around the world. People now want to have something different and want to experience new things and 3D mobile phones market looks really attractive. That is why all the big players in the industry are now after this sector and they want to get maximum benefit out of it.

Just like Apple became the market leader in providing the best touch experience to the users, the one who will provide the best 3D experience to the users will lead the 3D market and will enjoy long-term profitability. Therefore the cell phone manufacturers need to take intelligent and careful steps if they want to capture the 3D phones market.
